Lyrics:

[Verse 1]
Welcome heroes to our school today
We honor you this Veterans Day
Army, navy, marines stand tall
Air force, coast guard, space force
We thank you all

[Chorus]
You defend our liberty
You’re the heart of bravery
Family and friends who serve so true
We’re proud to celebrate you

[Verse 2]
You’ve flown the skies, and sailed the seas
Marched through mountains
Fought for peace
Every flag you’ve raised
Every step you’ve made
We honor you on this special day

[Chorus]
You defend our liberty
You’re the heart of bravery
Family and friends who serve so true
We’re proud to celebrate you

[Bridge]
Heroes near and heroes far
You’re our guiding shining star
Here’s our promise Here’s our song
We’ll remember all you’ve done

[Chorus]
You defend our liberty
You’re the heart of bravery
Family and friends who serve so true
We’re proud to celebrate you

[Chorus]
You defend our liberty
You’re the heart of bravery
Family and friends who serve so true
We’re proud to celebrate you
We’re proud to celebrate you

How This Song Was Made:
I thought you might like to know how this song came to life. I use AI as a creative partner at a few different steps. I'll brainstorm song ideas with tools like ChatGPT or Claude, then shape things myself — picking the song structure, the key, the rhyme pattern. For the music itself I use Suno AI, and I'm pretty picky: sometimes I'll go through nearly 100 versions before one feels right. When needed, I pull apart the instrument tracks and mix things by hand until it sounds the way I want for my classroom. The lyric video comes from a little generator I built with Claude, and I make the thumbnails with Muse.

The heart of it, though — the concept, the lyrics, which version makes the cut, the final sound — that's all me, shaped by my years teaching elementary music. These songs take hundreds of hours to get right. AI just gives me a new way to be creative, and I'm so glad teachers like you are enjoying the results!
