The Kings & Queens Dance (2023 AOSA)
This dance is composed in the style of an historic English country dance. The music is stately and the dancing flowing and elegant.

I wondered what music accompanies the dance on this video? Also I wanted to say that I am a folk dance teacher at a small homeschool coop in Minnesota. I have also contra danced (among other dancing) for 20 years and I am BLOWN AWAY by your website and your absolute gift with music and dance. As I’ve now entered the world of calling and teaching dances to others, I can’t tell you what a huge resource your work here is to me. I will highly recommend it to many others and hope it will benefit you by getting the word out about your work. Blessings!
Wow Hannah, what an encouragement! Thank you so much for reaching out, I’m thrilled to hear that the site has been helpful to you! The song I use for the Kings and Queens Dance is “On The Danforth” from the New England Dancing Masters. The original version of the tune comes from their album Sashay The Donut, but the version in this video is called “On The Danforth/Thomas Shrug March” from the album Other Side of the Tracks. You can find that here: https://dancingmasters.com/product/other-side-of-the-tracks-cd-mp3/ , and be sure to use the code bowtievideo10 for 10% off. Thanks for sharing the site!
