Lucky Seven
“Lucky Seven” is an English country dance and a favorite with older children, possibly because they love the surprise of who their next partner will be! This dance can be found in the book Listen To The Mockingbird by The New England Dancing Masters, and the song “Southern Reels (Spotted Pony, Chinkapin)” as recorded by NEDM can be used for accompaniment. The video below features students from Boone Meadow Elementary, led by their teacher William C Doublestein, during the 2021-2022 school year.
