Les Saluts folk dance (New England Dancing Masters)

“Les Saluts” is one of the few folk dances from Quebec where the figures of the dance match the phrases of the music, making it an excellent dance for beginning groups who are learning to match their movements with the music. This dance can be found in the book Listen To The Mockingbird by The New England Dancing Masters, and song “Les Saluts” as recorded by NEDM can be used for accompaniment. The video below features students from Boone Meadow Elementary, led by their teacher William C Doublestein, during the 2019-2020 school year.
