Roller Coaster Pitch Exploration

This pitch exploration activity is sure to be a favorite in your music classroom. Students use their singing voices to follow the movement of the roller coaster train up and down hills, around loops, and over a jump. The teacher simply needs to advance the slide, and the roller coaster train will move on its own. A slide whistle can be used to model the movement, and at the end the speed is increased to “super duper fast,” which of course the students love! Enjoy this free resource from BowTie Music!
