Program Rehearsal
On Thursday all kindergarten students should come to the gym for a rehearsal between 9:20-10:20am. Coverage will be split by classroom teachers and related arts teachers according to the normal related arts schedule so that all prep periods can remain unchanged.
Ways To Help- Classroom Teachers
- Have a plan for where students will stand. The first seven songs will be sung on the risers, the last song will be sung from two rows across the gym floor.
- Riser set up
- Students will be standing on five sets of risers (1 per class with colored sit spots), each having four steps. A fifth row of students will be on the gym floor in front of each riser. Please divide students into five rows, with the tallest kids on the very top row. Height doesn’t matter on the four lower rows.
- Classes should be arranged from left to right as follows: Tuttila (blue), Coats (red), Frey (green), Luse (orange), and Sorrells (purple).
- Riser set up

-
- Two line set up
- Classes should be divided in half to make a front row and a back row. Please put the taller kids in back. Classes won’t need to be grouped together, we just want a clear front and back row.
- Two line set up
- Remind the kids of the following:
- You get to dress up in fancy clothes for this performance, like the kind of clothes you’d wear for picture day 🙂
- Make sure you go to the restroom before the practice/performance.
- Pay attention and watch the director.
- Smile and have fun!
- No whisper-singing and no yelling-singing. Just use a nice strong singing voice, loud enough that the person next to you can hear you, but not so loud that you’re shouting.
- Try not to talk between the songs.
- Please let me know if you aren’t planning on being there Thursday night so that I can make other arrangements for transitions and dismissal.
