Instruments

This collection includes a variety of resources to help with playing instruments in the general music classroom. In the Mallet Instruments category, you will find examples of children playing pieces from the Music for Children volumes and the Spielbuch for Xylophon by Carl Orff and Gunild Keetman. You will also find examples of how to guide students’ first experiences on the mallet instruments, as well as how to teach students about harmony using these instruments.

In the Recorders category, you will find examples beginning level recorder pieces that are easily accessible to students. You will also see examples of how to teach the basic fundamentals of recorder playing, as well as how to process easy songs with young recorder players.
